Third edition of Master Chef to be aired on weekdays!

Star Plus aims to translate the thinking behind their tagline Rishta Wahi Sooch Nayi onto the 3rd season of Master Chef Kitchen Ke Superstars...

Star Plus is ready with it's 3rd season of Master Chef Kitchen Ke Superstars this March which offers the common man a platform to showcase their exceptional culinary skills. Unlike the last two seasons which were aired on weekends, the third edition is now scheduled for the weekdays slot.

When we got in touch with Nikhil Madhok, Vice President and Fiction Head of Star Plus to tell us more about the rationale of the shift in the time slot he said, "We want to give recognition to the hands that cook, so we have given them this platform to showcase their talent. Keeping this in mind we have turned our weekend show to weekdays, so that we can attract more viewers to praise this talent and also be a part of it. This is the only show on Indian television that takes a talent as basic as cooking and offers contestants a way to fulfill their dreams. This was the primary reason that influenced our decision to move it to the weekday prime time slot".

Mr Ashish Golwalkar, head of Non-Fiction shows on Star Plus said, "We have applied our Star Plus tagline which says Rishta Wahi Sooch Nayi, to Master Chef Kitchen Ke Superstars. This has been a successful show in the past two seasons, so we decided to take it to another level and shift it from weekend to weekdays to spread it on a mass level".

We also got in touch with the three judges of the show, Sanjeev Kapoor, Kunal Kapoor and Vikas Khanna to find out more about their feelings on being a part of this season of Master Chef.

The very well known Chef Sanjeev Kapoor stated, "There are different talents in our country, but according to me cooking is certainly an outstanding one.  The audition rounds have left me amazed with people's culinary skills and I am honored to be a part of this show. If ever I would be given a chance to choose between 100 crores and judging the Master Chef show, I would definitely go for Master Chef".

The handsome chef Vikas Khanna said, "I am proud to be a part of this show, which takes the initiative of bringing out the cooking talent which is always left in the dark and not appreciated greatly. It is a privilege for them to showcase their talent".

"When I started my journey, right from taking up the show, I was never sure about how a show of this genre will do in the country. I was just focusing on to how we could help people to explore and present their talent which is not acknowledged by many. I wanted to contribute to this aspect and be the voice of this talent. We always praise the food we eat but never the hands that have cooked it. So through this show we are trying to nurture the cooking talent", concluded the extremely talented and passionate chef Kunal Kapoor.
