There are glimpses of Priya in me as we are both women of today: Disha Parmar of Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2

Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2 returned amid much fanfare with Disha Parmar and Nakuul Mehta taking on the lead roles. The two took over the iconic roles of Priya and Ram, respectively, and they have both received a lot of love so far as well as appreciation for their performances.

India Forums got in touch with Disha and we asked her how she had big responsibilities with a character as iconic as Priya, and fans have given a thumbs up to it. Ask her if it gets overwhelming, and she says, ''Uh yes, playing Priya was a big responsibility, though I tried to not think about it at all, I was trying to take it as a fresh character, fresh perspective, also this Priya is very different from the last Priya. Fortunately, or unfortunately, I hadn't seen the original show, so I wasn't very aware of how that Priya's character was but I knew this for sure, that both are very different from each other. And yes, being accepted by the audience feels very very amazing and it is always good when your work is appreciated.''

Further, we asked her how similar is she to Priya and she says how there are differences, but too many similarities as well. She adds, ''I have traits of Priya and yet, I am very different from her. There are situation where I do think like Priya and there are days when people on the set tell me that oh my God, you are behaving like Priya (smiles). So I think those little glimpses of Priya do come in me and she is a woman of today, and I am a woman of today, so a lot of our thinking definitely matches.''

Meanwhile, the ongoing marriage track on the show has been keeping the fans hooked, though met with a wide response, also was the receiving end of some flak due to the extended track.
