She is young, beautiful and has a humongous fan following, she is Vrushika Mehta. The actress is known to break several stereotypes and has now became one of the hugest and most popular young stars of television. We celebrate the journey of this cute and hot (which is a rare combo) birthday girl..!!

Born in Ahemdabad, Gujarat, Vrushika has completed her education from Tolani College of Commerce. However, academics was never where this girl was going to sparkle, as the passionate and electrifying dancer she is, Vrushika started dancing at a very early age and went on to win several dance competitions.

Vrushika has obtained the roots of dancing from her beloved mother, where her mother couldn't pursue her passion for dance but wouldn't have been prouder to see her daughter excel in it.

Vrushika made her debut in the show, 'Aasman Se Aage' on Life Ok where she played the role of one of the contestants on the show.

However, it was only her next youth show, 'Dil Dosti Dance' which made her a sensation. Though she replaced actress Sneha Kapoor for her role of Sharon, she was appreciated for her on-screen chemistry with co-actor Shantanu Maheshwari aka Swayum. The duo became one of the most talked-about topics on social media once.

The show made her an overnight star and her passion for dance was strengthened as she got a chance to portray it on the show.

The actress confessed that she always wanted to be a part of 'Dance India Dance' since she was 14 years of age. And she would also love to contest in 'Jhalak Dikhla Jaa'. Well, we wonder it's high time, these shows start getting the perfect blend of popularity and talent, which is easily symbolized by Vrushika.

After 'Dil Dosti Dance' ended, Vrushika went on to work on several episodics like 'Yeh Hai Aashiqui', 'Fear Files' and 'Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya'. In one of the episodes of 'Yeh Hai Aashiqui' she was casted once again opposite Shantanu, where the makers surely capitalized on the actors' popularity.

Vrushika maybe young but she has already known to break several typecasts on Indian television. Shantanu and herself had one of the most sizzling and most romantic scenes on the show. The couple exchanged a liplock and the surroundings of the scene were perfect-rainy weather, fire and the perfect atmosphere which became a rage.

Another huge belief which the actress broke was about doing a transition from being a part of a youth based show to starring in a quintessential daily soap. The actress went against all odds and beliefs of not' adapting such a step by taking by the lead role in the show, 'Satrangi Sasural'.

The saga of replacing characters in an existing show always seemed to have worked wonders for the actress as she replaced Mugdha Chapekar on the show as the lead, Kaira in the show's second season.

Apart from being a dance frenzy, Vrushika is a Gujju food lover where her favourite delicacy is dhoklas. Along with being a great dancer, she is also an avid painter.

Vrushika is also the recipient of the prestigious On-Screen Couple Viewers Choice Awards (shared with Shantanu Maheshwari) for 'Dil Dosti Dance' at the 14^th Annual Indian Television Academy Awards.

Completing 22 years of age, the young actress already has an illustrious career at such a tender age. We are not only hopeful but absolutely sure, this talented damsel will keep reaching new heights of success ahead..!!
