Star Plus' Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, has been regaling its viewers for with constant drama for the last 7 years and keeps getting stronger. Viewers recently witnessed the celebrations of the Teej' festival in the show.
And it is now time to witness the Independence Day celebrations in the show. The makers have penned a track where the younger generation in the show, Naksh (Rohan Mehra), Karthik (Mohsin Khan) and Naira (Shivangi Joshi) will be seen paying their respects to the freedom fighters who got us independence.
A source from the sets informed us, "Karthik plays a freedom fighter, where Naira would play his to-be wife. They are about to get married but Karthik is arrested by the police. Naira asks him to still marry her so that she can lead life as a martyr's widow, in a skit for the Independence Day celebrations. Naksh will play the 'jallad' (executioner) who will hang the freedom fighter but will also pay them respects."
We tried contacting the concerned actors but could not reach them. Even though its a little late for Independence Day celebrations, we can be rest assured that this track will entertain th audience and fill in some freedom spirit too.
