Actor Amol Parashar who rose to fame as DJ Chitvan from the popular TVF web series is all geared to entertain audiences with his upcoming Bollywood project Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitare. Produced by Ekta Kapoor, the movie is presented by the makers of Lipstick Under My Burkha and features actors Konkona Sen Sharma and Bhumi Pednekar in lead roles. We also exclusively reported about actor Karan Kundrra playing pivotal role in the series. Actor Vikrant Massey too has a special role in the film.
Interestingly, the movie is all set for its world premiere at the 24th Busan International Film Festival. We got in touch with Amol and he shared with us the experience of shooting for the film. Revealing how he bagged the role he said, “I met Alankrita (writer-director) who offered me a part in her film. I read the script and loved it and came on board immediately. Also, majority of my work was opposite Konkona and I could not have let pass this opportunity to work with an actor of her calibre. We shot for the film mostly in Delhi and around, and completely enjoyed the experience.”
Expressing his excitement for the 24th Busan International Film Festival he said, “I just got to know about that and I’m excited as this will be the first time my work will be screened at an international platform of such repute. All the credit goes to the powerful women who have steered the film. Alankrita Srivastava, Konkona Sen Sharma, Bhumi Pednekar and our producer Ekta Kapoor who has an unmatched vision. I am lucky to have gotten to work with such a team.”
