The story of Itna Karo Na Mujhe Pyaar appealed me - Pallavi Kulkarni

Good looking Pallavi Kulkrani who rose to fame with Star Plus' Kehta Hai Dil and now returning to small scree after a gap of seven years with a substantial role of Ragini in Sony TV's Itna Karo Na Mujhe Pyaar, talks about the show, concept in detail with us...

Here is Pallavi sharing her views -

What made you to take up the show Itna Karo Na Mujhe Pyaar?

There are three reasons. The first one being it is Ekta Kapoor and Balaji Telefilms with whom I have never done any hit and a successful show. Then is the channel Sony TV and the third reason is my co-actor Ronit Roy. The appealing factor of this show was  the subject and topic of the show which is very substantial and unique. I have never played such kind of a character before on screen.

You are coming back on television after seven years, what made you to stay away from the small screen all this while?

My last show was Vaidehi.... Ek Aur Agni Pareeksha and after that I got married. I purposely took a break after my marriage as I was traveling with my husband as his job requires a lot of traveling. I travelled a lot and almost roamed around the world. So I was relaxing a bit but yes the break got extended for a long time.

Do you relate with the character of Ragini?

I am quite similar to Ragini who is quite confident, independent and disciplined. Whereas Pallavi is also to some extent similar to her. I am quite disciplined in my life, want all my things to be at in proper place. I like to be perfect. Even I am self-confident so these all things are similar between us. But yes there are many things which do not match like Ragini stretches one thing throughout her life that is her differences with husband. I am not like her, I believe to move on in life and leave behind the issues.

What do you think about the concept of the show?

The storyline is about a couple and their relationship which is at a crucial stage. The couple has been living away from each other because of their personal differences and the phase which they are going through needs utmost care.

I think that when you love someone it should be an unconditional one. In return you should not expect anything else but just love as you tend to get enough love from your partner. You should be happy and the additional thing would be like a bonus. I think expectation is an enemy in any relationship. In my daily life I personally don't expect anything from my husband. And I have noticed that when you don't expect anything your partner does a lot for you.
