The most difficult film I have ever done: Katrina Kaif on working with Vijay Sethupathi in 'Merry Christmas'

The Bollywood diva, dressed in a stunning black saree, captivated fans as she interacted with the audience and shared moments on social media.

Katrina Kaif joined a lineup of Bollywood stars at the festival, including Will Smith, Ranveer Singh, Ananya Panday, Freida Pinto, and Johnny Depp.

Beyond the glamorous snapshots, a viral video captured Katrina expressing her experience of working with Vijay Sethupathi in the upcoming film, 'Merry Christmas.' In her words, "It was always to work with him (Vijay Sethupathi) and I got the opportunity in Merry Christmas to work with it. It was phenomenal, by far the most difficult film I have ever done. Definitely, the character took a lot out of me but the experience was that he really challenges you as an actor. 

She further said, "Also, it's a bilingual film. We shot the film in Hindi and Tamil. In Tamil version, I have actually spoken in Tamil so it was two takes for whatever you were doing and that was really challenging but exciting. My co-star Vijay Sethupathi is so phenomenal. When we would do the Hindi take, he would be fantastic but when we would do the Tamil take, there would be a different actor."

The bilingual film, shot in Hindi and Tamil, presented a unique challenge for Katrina, who shared her dialogue delivery in Tamil, adding to the film's complexity. Reflecting on her co-star Vijay Sethupathi, she highlighted his phenomenal acting skills, creating a distinct experience in each language.

Directed by Sriram Raghavan, 'Merry Christmas,' featuring the dynamic duo of Vijay Sethupathi and Katrina Kaif, is set to hit the big screens on January 12, 2024, after facing several postponements.
