'The Empire' trailer & release date: Drashti Dhami shines in the footage of epic drama

The moment a glimpse of footage from Hotstar Specials' The Empire was revealed a fee days ago, the excitement was instant. For years now, everybody has been talking abd hoping to present a show with mammoth scale and epic grandeur - something on the lines of Game of Thrones.

The Empire's first look gave that vibe instantly where those aerial shots of battle scenes, period costumes, everything promised that. Now the full length trailer has come out as well and it showcases the story of Samarkand, a place where there are two enemies up against each other but that is coincided with complications beyond their imagination. Drashti Dhami is the one who actually shines the most in the trailer who apparently becomes the central point of two kings pitted against each other. Dhami, as Khanzada might have a damsel-in-distress kinda initial look but as the trailer progressed, her character is shown to become badass as well-

One of the primary reasons for The Empire to appear all the more grand is the way it's shot. The use of darker tones for cinematography is very GOT-esque and works for the show in the trailer as it appears. And the scale is indeed mammoth where the battle scenes and large sets are the indicator of that.

The Empire is all set to begin streaming from 27th August 2021 onwards.
