Team 'Diya Aur Baati Hum' receives a warm welcome from Pushkar!

We have seen things going from Real to Reel but turning the table around, a very popular Indian television show went Reel to Real!

Yes, we are talking about Shashi Sumeet Productions' popular show 'Diya Aur Baati Hum'! Inspired from the show, Pushkar now gets a lane named 'Hanuman Gali', which is quite popular on the show, being the place where the Rathi family resides.

Considering the quests of the tourists coming to Pushkar, for Hanuman Gali and Suraj's sweet shop, the Rajasthan Government has now named a lane in Pushkar as 'Hanuman Gali'.

A proud moment for the producer duo Shashi Sumeet Mittal and the entire team indeed!

To witness this moment, the producers and the entire cast of 'Diya Aur Baati Hum' recently went to Pushkar and received a warm welcome from the residents of Pushkar. They surely had some moments to cherish forever.

Expressing her happiness, Neelu Vaghela told TellyBuzz, "It's an absolute honour and a history created in Indian television. Shashi Mam belongs to Pushkar and recalling her childhood days spent there, she became emotional to see that she could do something for her hometown. It was an emotional moment for Sumeet sir and Shashi mam. It has all happened because of their efforts and the love of the people. They also delivered speech on keeping our surroundings clean, which was a nice message for the society."

"I went there after a very long time and I felt so good to see my motherland progressing. The crowd was screaming for us like crazy and some of the ladies were addressing me as Bhabhosa! The people in Pushkar were so well behaved that everything was managed very well. We could see respect in the eyes of the people out there. They made us feel so comfortable there, that we felt like the day ended too soon. A big thanks from all of us to people from Pushkar for such a warm response," she added.

Pooja Singh, who plays the role of Emily on the show shared, "It was an amazing event and we all enjoyed a lot. The crowd went crazy for all of us. They were all cheering for each one of us with so much of enthusiasm... It was a big honour for all of us because such a thing has happened first time in the history of television that Pushkar has got a lane named inspired from a TV show. This historic moment will always be cherished by all of us. We danced and enjoyed a lot."
