Tanushree Dutta Fears if Sanjay Leela Bhansali would work with someone like her!

Tanushree Dutta - the flag bearer of the Me Too movement in Bollywood voiced out against the injustice and atrocities inflicted upon women. However, on the work front, Dutta does not entirely seem to be ready for a comeback yet. But, talking about her admiration for Sanjay Leela Bansali, Tanushree says, “He’s one director I admire the most. He is very unique in his approach, in his filmmaking, the way his films look and storytelling. It is very admirable.”

During her interaction with Hindustan Times, she charted all the possibilities of working with Bansali as she added, “It is a pretty wide jump for me but I watched the last couple of movies of Sanjay Leela Bhansali and loved them. I have always loved his films, his sensibility. I don’t know if he would work with someone like me because he works with top stars only. But I also have very high self-esteem, so I never say never.”

Before the 35-year-old actress jetted off to America, she was last seen in Apartment which also starred Neetu Chandra, Rohit Roy and Anupam Kher in the lead roles.

However, Dutta seems to be uncertain about her chances to grab a role in Sanjay Leela Bansali directorial. She also mentions how one doesn’t even receive an opportunity for an audition for the people you really want to work with because there is a business angle involved. 

She further added, “When I was young, I was like, ‘I want to want to work with this director and that director’. I’ve stopped doing that. You put yourself in a place where you get disappointed.”

The Aashiq Banaya Aapne actress also mentioned about the hardships she has faced as she has to divide time between India and the US. 

“I have been out of the industry for ten years now. I don’t even have a management team. I have people managing my work but there are limitations when it comes to projects. I am also trying to find a good representation for myself for movies and acting projects,” the actor concludes.
