Teejay Sidhu, who has recently joined the cast of 'Santoshi Maa' on &TV had no plans of taking up a television soap. But what made her change her mind and give a nod to this show?

Teejay said, "Well, taking up a mythological show was the last thing I had in mind. I am an RJ and my work keeps me very busy but I had auditioned for this show in October and things didn't work out then. But recently the production house and the channel head called me to finalize things. I was very touched seeing how keen they were to cast me for the role and I had no hiccups because I was not required to essay a typical 'mythological' character. Honestly, they were very kind and agreed to adjust the dates, given the fact that I have a parallel profession. I am humbled to be a part of this project."

Speaking about taking up a television show, she quipped, "Acting is a new space for me and I am very excited to learn this new art."
