Swara Bhasker calls society 'brain dead' for raving over Vicky Kaushal's Chhaava: 'Filmy torture of Hindus..'

Actress turned politcian Swara Bhasker took to her X handle on Wednesday, 19th February to take an indirect dig at everyone raving over Vicky Kaushal's recent release 'Chhaava,' instead of being enraged about the recent 'Maha kumbh' stampede that happened in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh.

The actress, taking to her X handle, without naming anyone calls the society 'Brain and soul dead' for raving over the 'partly fictionalised filmy torture' of the Hindus instead of the recent stampede in Maha Kumbh. ''A society that is more enraged at the heavily embellished partly fictionalised filmy torture of Hindus from 500 years ago than they are at the horrendous death by stampede & mismanagement + then alleged JCB bulldozer handling of corpses - is a brain & soul-dead society. #IYKYK,'' Swara wrote on her X handle.

While a few netizens supported Swara, a few others expressed utmost angst over her remarks and for calling the torture 'fictionalised and filmy.'

Supporting Swara a user wrote, ''Are we more comfortable debating fiction than confronting the grim realities of our times? Swara’s point about selective outrage deserves introspection.'' Another, in support of the actress wrote, ''100% yes !!!!! People love good drama not reality .. its seems everyone is running away frm reality only to submerge in dramatic dramas of celluloid.''

Slamming the actress, one user writes, ''The fact that you said it is Fictional proves how well read you are!
