Sushant Singh Rajput does the opening act for Jhalak Dikhla Jaa!

Sushant Singh Rajput, the latest actor to have transited from TV to Films is still reaping the benefits of his debut hit Kai Po Che. He was invited to do an opening act on the sets of the latest season of Jhalak Dikhla Jaa which had its first day of shoot yesterday.

Earlier, Sushant was a contestant in Jhalak Dikhla Jaa 4 - Dancing with the Stars in the year 2011 with Shampa as his choreographer. In that season of Jhalak, Sushant's girlfriend Ankita Lokhande too was a participant. Sushant and Ankita who had met while shooting as the main leads of Pavitra Rishta were known to be a much in love couple which was confirmed when Sushant proposed to her on the sets of Jhalak on a Valentine Day's performance. Sushant had many such emotional moments while on the sets of Jhalak Season 4. He had broken down when he had performed on an emotional piece and was in tears as he thought of his mother who had passed away couple of years back. After being a promising performer he had a bad spell too due to his back injury when he made a decision to quit the show but finally did not.

Sushant who gave impeccable dance performances consistently went on to being in the top 3 finalists of Jhalak Season 4. He contested with Yana Gupta and Meiyang Chang in the grand finale and even though many expected him to win, it was Chang was took the trophy home and Sushant ended up being the 1^st runner – up.

Our source informs says, "It was time for Sushant to revive all these memories as he danced on the sets of Jhalak Dikhla Jaa: Dancing with the Stars Season 6 and bonded with the team including the judges and some of the choreographers with whom he had a good rapport from earlier on."

We tried calling Sushant but he was unavailable for comment.

As reported yesterday Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandes too performed a special act with one of the contestants Karanvir Bohra and there are many more such surprises in store!
