The lead actors of a show garner all the fame, love and infinite fans... However, some characters in a show leave such an impact with their strong screen presence and brilliant acting prowess that they overshadow everything else, making it a benchmark to be envied.

We list the top five actors on television, who currently are equally responsible for the success of the show as much as the leads.

1. Neelu Vaghela as Santosh Rathi aka Bhabho in Diya Aur Baati Hum

'Diya Aur Baati Hum' made an instant impact with its launched and climbed up the TRP charts owing to its novel concept and the chemistry of the leads. However, the dynamic and fierce acting performance by by Neelu as Bhabho was applauded by millions and is still the USP of the show.

2. Achint Kaur as Durga Devi in Jamai Raja

The actress has proved her fettle with brilliant acting performances in films apart from her most memorable role in the series, 'Swabhimaan.' She made a comeback to television after three years in 2014 playing the antagonist saas in the show, 'Jamai Raja.' Not being the quintessential mother-in-law, her powerful and anarchic role has won her a lot of accolades.

3. Rupal Patel as Kokila Modi in Saath Nibhana Saathiya

The actress was already an established stage actress before she made her debut on TV with a role in 'Jaane Kya Baat Hui.' However, her path-breaking TV role was the controlling, tyrannical and dictator-like Kokila that made her a popular household name. Her acting has been much appreciated and now with five years gone by, she still continues to be the most influential character of the show.

4. Sunil Grover as Gutthi and Various Characters in Comedy Nights With Kapil

A show which has been ruling hearts since its inception! Kapil garnered immense fame and fortune through this show. However, it was the character of Gutthi who stole several hearts. Sunil Grover immortalized the character with his flawless comic timing and brilliant acting. With more than two years of the show being run, it is receiving criticism for monotony and misogyny, but Sunil makes it a point to revamp the viewers like he did recently in a special 'Dilwale' episode with blistering physical comedy.

5. Anita Hassanandani as Shagun in Yeh Hai Mohabbatien

In a show which completely bowled over its viewers with Raman (Karan Patel) and Ishita's (Divyanka Tripathi) sweet-sour romance and their camaraderie with Ruhi (Ruhanika Dhawan), Shagun (Anita Hassanandani) as the antagonist made a powerful impact. Now with the character turned to positive, Anita doesn't cease to impress the viewers and keeps wowing with various scene stealer moments.

Achint Kaur's chacter Is a rare one in tellyland , brilliantly acted by her strong classy sophisticated takes no shit from anyone love her acting as DD she rocks and Jamai Raja is a brilliant show.
