The Hindi TV series 'Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin,' airing on Star Plus, continues to captivate its audience with its captivating storyline. The ongoing plot centres around the intertwined lives of Savi (Bhavika Sharma), Ishaan (Shakti Arora), and Reeva (Sumit Singh), making their lives complicated.

In an exclusive conversation with India Forums, Sumit Singh discusses her affection for the character Reeva, the current storyline and much more.

Sumit, how do you feel playing the character Reeva so far?

Honestly, Reeva isn't just a character; she's an emotion that I live with every day. She embodies love and readiness for sacrifice. Reeva is so deeply immersed in love that she's willing to do anything for it. It's a pure emotion, and I'm truly enjoying portraying her character. Moreover, I'm in the process of delving into the depth of love through Reeva's perspective. She's overflowing with love and is all about giving, and I'm loving every moment of playing the character Reeva.

What audience feedback did you receive during Reeva's return into Ishaan's life, given the popularity of Ishaan and Savi's pairing?

Yes, Ishaan and Savi's pairing, known as #Ishvi, is adored by everyone, and I'm thrilled to see its popularity. However, during this time, Reeva's re-entry into the show occurred. While I received positive feedback, there were also some negative remarks. Comments suggested that since Ishaan and Savi are already together, they questioned Reeva's re-entry and urged for her to be sent back. Yet, ultimately, this is a story involving all three characters, each with their own place, and it's about how their stories intertwine.

As of now, I haven't observed any hint of a greyish demeanour, but in my opinion, those who lose their love often lose their composure as well

As we've witnessed Reeva, the bubbly and loving girl, facing challenges in her life, could her character turn into a grey character?

Reeva is undeniably a calm and exceedingly bubbly girl. Given the current circumstances, she finds herself bereft of the love for whom she sacrificed her career and abandoned everything. She was on the brink of marrying her beloved, but it was not to be. Consequently, her life has been thrown into disarray by the loss of her love. Departing from her family, she sought refuge in the Bhosale mansion to remain close to her beloved. As of now, I haven't observed any hint of a greyish demeanour, but in my opinion, those who lose their love often lose their composure as well. Let's observe how her mind navigates this turmoil. She has now arrived at the Bhosale mansion to see Ishaan, her love.

Will you love being playing the grey character?

I believe that there are no inherently grey or negative characters; it's the circumstances that drive people's actions. Now, consider a girl deeply in love with a boy, on the verge of marrying him. This would be her second broken engagement, and she left her family for his love, so you can imagine her mental state. It's natural to expect her to potentially turn negative under such circumstances. When people are in love, they're often willing to do anything. She possesses a profound dedication and devotion to her love. While I'm not sure, but you can see a greyish side of her. Thus far, there's been no indication of jealousy or negativity in her thoughts. However, even if her demeanour were to shift in a negative direction, I would relish the opportunity to portray her, as it would be justified for her character. Therefore, I'm comfortable with it and would enjoy playing her. So, yes, I love Reeva. Laughs

In the recent episode, we saw you dressed up in a saree, looking beautiful. It seems Reeva is still trying to win Ishaan's heart.

Given that I've been portraying the character Reeva, who is deeply in love with Ishaan and longs to be a part of his life, despite her shattered dreams, she clings to hope that Ishaan still harbours feelings for her. With such an opportunity at stake, how could she possibly pass up the chance to capture his attention? Her intentions are pure; she merely wishes to remain close to her beloved. Naturally, dressing up is a means to garner his notice. So, she dresses herself and presents herself to him as if to say, 'Hello! I'm here.' Laughs

Positive character turn grey and then into villain😂 Rinse and repeated track I see🙃

What's up with her new dark kholed eyes? Is this to signify she's a villain in making...?

Sumit has already played a grey character as Shagun in Meet , so there won't be any difference between Shagun and Reeva if she turns grey and later turns totally negative. I don't understand why every third or parallel lead turns grey in every show. Why can't the parallel lead be a positive person?

Sumit already play a negative character so it won't be new to her. Her character Shagun, lost her love Manmeet to Meet and turn negative. So it would just be a recycle plot on a different show and character
