Suchitra Bandekar to play Ankita Lokhande aka Archana’s mother in Pavitra Rishta 2.0

We recently broke the news about Aishwarya Khare and Rohit Suchanti bagging Zee TV’s Bhagyalakshmi. Now, we’re back with yet another update about a daily soap from the same channel.

Zee TV and Balaji Telefilms are set to bring the second instalment of popular daily soap Pavitra Rishta. Actresses Ankita Lokhande and Usha Nadkarni have been retained to play the primary roles.

As per reports, Yeh Unn Dinon Ki Baat Hai fame Randeep Rai and Pooja Bhamrrah have also been roped in for important roles. Reports have it that Randeep will make a special appearance in the show.

Now, India Forums has learned that actress Suchitra Bandekar has been roped in to play Archana’s (Ankita Lokhande) mother in the show.

Suchitra is known for his stint in projects like Simmba, Hum Panch, Ghar Ki Lakshi Betiyaan, Mere Rang Mein Rangne Wali among others.

We couldn’t connect with Suchitra for a comment.

The first season of Pavitra Rishta had Ankita Lokhande and Late Sushant Singh Rajput in lead roles. Later, Hiten Tejwani replaced Sushant as Manav in the show. Apart from Ankita and Sushant, Pavitra Rishta season 1 had popular faces like Usha Nadkarni, Aparna Dixit, Karanvir Mehra, Priya Marathe, Mahesh Shetty among others.
