Peplos
, as pronounced in Greece, was a staple in ancient Greek women's wardrobe and that's where the versatile silhouette, Peplum originated from. 

By definition, it means an overskirt attached to the bodice of a top, jacket, shirt etc. With the recent sightings, we can say with confidence that this season, Peplum has come around with a vengeance. 

Here's how it can be incorporated into the modern woman's wardrobe...

Here's a proof that it looks elegant even with a pant suit. However, Mouni Roy's outfit is a fitting example of tweaking the standard peplum silhouette.
