The fiction shows on Star Plus, Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil, Raja Ki Aayegi Baaraat and Humari Devrani which have been launched in the past 6 months in different time slots have caught momentum slowly and steadily with captivating story tracks and excellent production values.

Raja Ki Aayegi Baaraat, the fairy-tale story started with a pre-launch slot rating of a meager 1.6 TVR, but has climbed the TRP charts steadily thereafter, has been giving a neck-to-neck competition to the very popular show on Zee, Banoo Main Teri Dulhann which airs at the same time slot. According to Rashmi Sharma, Producer of Raja Ki Aayegi Baaraat, “Presently Raja Ki has grown the slot ratings by 163% since launch and has delivered a 4.2 TVR in Week 29, thus defeating Dulhann which gets a 3.7 TVR”.
Of course, ruling the TRP charts for quite sometime now, is the fiction saga Sapna Babul Ka Bidaai which delivers an average of 5.7 TVR this week. Along with this, is Kasturi(3.4 TVR) which is also ahead of Saath Phere on Zee at the same time slot.
While Star Plus rules in the prime time slots, the revamped afternoon band of the channel has also been raking rewards lately! Hamari Devrani, the recently launched Shobhana Desai production serial has shown a growth of 78% in the first week of launch and delivers a 3.2 TVR. Also, the reincarnation track has done well for the ratings of Kumkum Pyara Sa Bandhan which has shown an improvement!
It’s certainly raining TVRs for Star Plus now, and guess the other channels need to pull up their socks to stay in the race!!
