Star Plus's recently launched show 'Chashni' has reportedly been under the scanner and recently there were rumours on the channel pulling the plug on the show.
India Forums got in touch with Srishti Singh who essays the character of Roshni in the show. We asked her about the ongoing rumours and how do such rumours affect her and the actress said, ''There is no truth in these rumours and they are completely baseless. I don't know where did this news come from because we have not recieved any official confirmation on this neither from the channel nor from the production house.''
Further talking about how did the rumour of 'Chashni' which is her debut show affected her the actress said, ''It did affect me when I read about it. All of us asked each other if there was any truth to this news, however, no body had recieved any confirmation about this. So although the news was disheartening, I did not take it seriously because at the end it was just another fleeting rumour. Yes but if it ever will go ahead to be true, it is going to be very disheartening for me.''
Chashni is the story of two sisters wherein in a series of twisted events the younger sister (Srishti Singh) goes ahead to become the 'Mother-in-law' of the older sister (Amandeep Sidhu) to seek revenge of her boyfriend's death. The show has also receieved a lot of flak for its unusual story line. However, a major section of the audience is also loving the show for similar reasons.
