Sonam and Anand did not have a Baarat at their Wedding, and the Reason will Impress you!

After years of dating, Sonam Kapoor tied the knot with Anand Ahuja in a fairytale wedding in 2018. The couple tied the knot in a traditional Anand Karaj ceremony and later hosted a grand reception for the Bollywood friends and family.

While Sonam-Anand’s wedding was a quintessential big fat Punjabi wedding, what went missing was a dazzling Baarat. The couple did not have a baarat at their wedding, and the reason will impress you.

PETA India had tagged Sonam in a video which carried the tagline, “Weddings are no fun for horses.” Sharing the video, the actress revealed the reason behind not having a baarat at her wedding as she said, My husband didn’t have a baraat with horses or loud music. For this exact reason.”

Besides, PETA India has been running a campaign to spread the message of prevention against animal cruelty. The organisation tagged Richa Chadha in a similar video, to which the actress replied, “Since rumour mills have made our wedding the talk of the town, @alifazal9 and I promise, whenever we do, there will be no HORSING around !”

Sonam Kapoor has been vocal against animal abuse and was named PETA India’s Person of the Year for 2018.
