The nation woke up to the shocking news of Sonali Phogat’s death on Tuesday morning. The actress and BJP leader passed away on Monday night. It was reported that Phogat suffered heart attack. Sonali was a part of Bigg Boss 14 and all the celebrities who were a part of that season was shocked by Phogat’s death.

Sonali’s family members stated that they sense foul play in her death and also claimed that they aren’t satisfied with the post-mortem results. Sonali’s brother Rinku Dhaka said, “We are not satisfied here. We will get the post-mortem done again in AIIMS Delhi. We are not being heard here”.

Yesterday, the autopsy results were out and a shocking revelation was made. The report said, “There are multiple blunt force injuries over the body. In view of the above, the manner of death is for the investigating officer to ascertain.”

The latest development in the case is that the police arrested two people on Friday morning in connection to Phogat’s murder. Goa inspector general of Police (IGP) Omvir Singh Bishnoi stated that accused Sudhir Sangvan and Sukhwinder Singh had given ‘synthetic drug’ to Phogat.

Bishnoi said, “Based on the CCTV footage collected from Curlies Club, it has been noticed that Sangvan and his associate Sukhwinder Singh were partying with the deceased at the club. After watching the video, one of the accused was seen forcefully giving some substance to her. When we confronted them with these facts, Sangvan and Singh confessed to have intentionally mixed some obnoxious chemical in the liquid and given it to Phogat to drink.”

“After that the victim was not in her senses and the accused tried to balance her. At 4.30am (Tuesday) when she lost control, the accused took her to toilet and they stayed there for two hours. But the accused have not given any explanation on this,” Bishnoi said.

The IGP added, “In the preliminary investigation it is established that both have been placed under arrest.”
