Giving extraordinary talent a platform to showcase their skill through its wide-ranging and impressive array of non-fiction properties, Sony Entertainment Television is all set to up the ante of entertainment with the launch of its homegrown dance reality show, India’s Best Dancer Season 3. Following the magnificent run of the previous seasons, India’s Best Dancer Season 3 Co-powered by Quick Heal and Nerolac Paint+, returns with this third edition seeking superlative dancing talent from different parts of the country. Ushering in a new era of dance, this season will commemorate those contestants whose moves will prove what they stand for, staying true to the theme of the season - #HarMoveSeKarengeProve. Geeta Kapur and Terence Lewis will be reprising their roles as judges and the elegant Sonali Bendre will join them to complete the Jury Triad. Produced by Frames Production Company and hosted by Jay Bhanushali, India’s Best Dancer Season 3 starts 8th April and will air every Saturday and Sunday at 8 pm only on Sony Entertainment Television.

Starting with the auditions, the contestants will get only 90 seconds on the clock to impress judges with at least 3 power moves to go further in the competition. As the clock keeps ticking, the judges also known as the E.E.N.T specialists will keep a close eye on the Emotions, Entertainment, Newness and Techniques that the contestants bring forth in their acts. Judge Sonali Bendre will assess the performances on ‘Emotions and Entertainment’, while Geeta Kapur will look for ‘Newness’ in the moves and Terence Lewis will account for perfection in the ‘Technique’. The second phase will be the Mega Auditions which sees selected contestants battle it out in pairs or trios to move into the next round. With the Grand Premiere, the judges will announce the Top 12 contestants as the ‘Best Barah’ who will be introduced to their respective mentors in their journey ahead. Week on week, these 12 contestants will have to impress the judges and audience alike to move closer to winning the most coveted title of India’s Best Dancer!

Promising dance, diversity, and delight – the third season of India’s Best Dancer will make everybody groove with a spectacular blend of contestants who will showcase styles like popping, boogaloo, animation, tutting, waving, contemporary and classical amongst others.

Talking about coming back as a judge on the show, celebrity choreographer Geeta Kapur, who will be judging the contestants on the 'Newness' quotient will go on to share, “I am thrilled about the third season of India’s Best Dancer, because with every season you get to witness something different and unique owing to the spectacular dancing talent that comes from across the nation. Every contestant brings in something innovative be it in the choreography or a dance style, which truly leaves us amazed. When it comes to judging the contestants, my department is "Newness", so along with some hatke dancing, I'm looking for someone who has a personality quirk as well, and how they bring alive that quirk through their dance. I'm impressed by how prepared the contestants are nowadays, they are so confident, passionate, innovative and have such great potential. There is a great mix of professional and raw talent this season, who are fabulous with their craft. I'm also looking forward to this season as I get to rekindle an old association with Sonali Ma’am, who is joining us as the new judge. I have worked with her as an assistant choreographer, but have never worked with her in the capacity of a judge. And, I am also excited to come back to Sony Entertainment Television because it feels like a homecoming. This new season of India’s Best Dancer is going to pump up the degree of entertainment and dance along with a new level of funk by incredible talent."

Talking about the expectations from the contestants this season, dance maestro Terence Lewis, who would be judging the contestants on 'Technique' shared, “I’m very happy to come back as a judge for season 3. Geeta and I, genuinely feel that in every season there's a level-up. In the first two seasons’ people were just still exploring, the craze that people had for dance, it went meteoric. In season three, we came across some exceptional dancers in the audition phase, and hence we are now spoiled for choices. Today’s Genz and millennials, they're all Ekalavya of dance, they don't need a teacher. They're learning by observing. There are skilled dancers, even dancers who are not professionally trained but are great at their craft. More importantly, you'll get to see a lot of creativity. We want people to be uplifted, entertained, moved, and inspired by this season. So come watch India's Best Dancer season 3 every Saturday – Sunday at 8 pm on Sony Entertainment Television. It's going to be a fun roller coaster ride of emotions, entertainment and needless to say lots of chumeshwari performances."

Talking about joining the show as a first-time judge, Sonali Bendre expressed her excitement saying, "There is something special about seeing a dancer in action - the skill, finesse, emotions, handwork, dedication, joy, sadness, success, failure, they bring it all to life in their movement. It is a special talent and to see so many wonderful dancers express themselves on stage is a wonderful thing. This is why, I am so excited to be a part of India’s Best Dancer Season 3. I have watched the previous seasons in awe of the amazing talent that we have across India, many of them self-taught and I’m looking forward to seeing what we have in store this season. It promises to be electrifying."
