Actor-entrepreneur Sneha Namanandi enjoys romancing the camera while exploring different characters. She is all praises for the television industry and wants to work more in the space, along with obviously working in films and OTT.  The Bade Acche Lagte Hai (season 2) actor shares about the process of how she preps for her onscreen avatars.

“My acting process is to just stay put, and do not panic, do not be anxious. Just stay calm when there is so much chaos outside in the world. That's what helps me to prepare for any kind of character and understand the psyche of the part better. More than anything, till date, whatever characters I've got, I've got the liberty actually to put my input and my soul into it. So it's been very helpful. I feel that the first and the most important thing is, even if it's a very impulsive and a very energetic character, I would say that from within, you really need to stay calm from within as that helps in understanding the character better and pull it off. When you're patient, it’s easier to accept, adapt and understand. Also, I would say not to fear, but that little bit of nervousness is always good; it's for the better,” she says.

Talking about the biggest misconception about actors in the Indian television industry, Sneha Namanandi shares, “The biggest misconception, according to a lot of actors in the industry, is that they differentiate between acting in the TV industry and OTT. I understand there's too much drama on TV, but it is up to the actor how they can actually maintain that line and not go beyond or above, to not step into the overacting zone. I completely understand there is a little bit of overdramatic stuff happening on TV. But as a good actor, you can always keep that under your control, and still deliver high quality drama which the audience demands. I always said that I don't differentiate among TV, films and web because for me, acting is acting. Also, I cannot do bad acting and call it over acting.”

So what’s that one most important quality an actor should have to succeed in the industry?

“The qualities an actor should have are consistency, patience, dedication and determination,” she adds.
