Sneha Jain: Sometimes when you see good work and you don't end up getting it, it can get tough

Actor Sneha Jain, who was last seen in the show Saath Nibhana Saathiya 2, will be seen in the show Janam Janam Ka Sath Hain. The actress waited for a few months before she took on this project. Talking about the short break that she took, she says that she wanted to work on herself and wait for a good project to come her way.

“My last show was Saath Nibhana Saathiya 2. It was quite a popular and very big show, and I got so much love from people for that show. So yeah, that's my first baby, I can say. It's been eight, nine months that I have been home, and that is my personal choice. I just don't want to jump into something and do exactly what I was doing in my previous show. I wanted to take time for myself so that the next character I play, I can justify it nicely. I wanted to spend time with my family and my friends because for two years, I was completely into Gehna. So, I wanted to give myself some time to discontinue living as Gehna so that whatever role I take up next, I can play it with a fresh mind. So that's why I took time for myself. And I worked on myself. I watch lots of good work, good projects. I was updating myself and my skills during this time,” she says.

However, waiting for a good project, and sitting at home, is not easy, she says, adding, “I am usually a patient person, but naturally, I also get impatient at times. So I would also think like, ‘Okay, I am not getting projects, and why is this happening!’ Like sometimes when you see good work and you don't end up getting it, it can get tough. I lose my patience sometimes but I think this is what life is all about. Sometimes you get impatient, sometimes you have a good amount of patience. But I think whatever happens, happens for a reason. So, let's see how this new journey takes me and what's going to happen in this new journey. I'm just excited to be on the screen again and make my audience happy.” 

However, her love for acting kept her going. “Acting is my heartbeat. acting is my breathing. It is everything. I can't even imagine my life without acting, without the camera. Each and every single day I miss the camera, I miss being on set. I miss reading scripts, I miss portraying emotions and all those things. So I think acting is my motivation and because of acting, I am happy, I am living my life happily. I'm doing whatever I want to do. There are lots of things which motivate me to act better. Watching great performers and people who I admire a lot motivates me to do better as well. I watch lots and lots of people who have achieved things, their videos, their clips; and feel motivated. I really like Hrithik Roshan's poem on YouTube, Darr and that motivates me a lot. It gives me confidence that whatever you are scared of, it's okay! I think there are lots of actors who motivate Nassuruddin Shah Sir, when they inspire. And it feels so good that these people are sharing their experience so that the newcomers feel at ease,” she says.
