Smita Bansal's memorable anniversary...

Smita Bansal, who plays mother to the little Anandi in COLORS’ Balika Vadhu celebrated her 7th wedding anniversary on December 8th. But the irony was that her better half Ankush Mohla, who is the Director of Hats Off Productions’ new show on Zee, Shree was out of Mumbai, shooting at Wahi.

But Smita did not give up, as she called J.D. Majethia and expressed that she wished to be with her husband on that day. “I immediately called JD and told him that it was our anniversary and I wanted to go to Wahi. He was so very nice that he arranged for a pick-up and drop back and I succeeded in giving Ankush a pleasant surprise by dropping into his sets”, exclaims Smita.

“The whole unit had hidden from him the fact that I was coming to Wahi. They had organized a cake cutting ceremony for us, and this has been the most joyous and memorable anniversary for me till date”, avers the thrilled actress.

We talked to J.D. Majethia, who made this evening possible for the couple. “I never knew that it was their anniversary. Even when we were scheduling dates for the Wahi shoot, Ankush was not very convinced on going out of Mumbai during the fixed dates, but he never did tell me the reason behind it. When Smita called me, I sent her to Wahi and the whole unit had a great time celebrating their anniversary”.

Smita who is also busy shooting for Balika Vadhu could not stay back due to her busy schedule. “I would have loved to stay back, but I had to get back for my shoot the next day. However, my husband was very happy to see me there, and that’s what I wanted”, concludes the actress.

It’s all back to work now, after a day of jubilation for the hard-working couple!!
