Star Plus' Siya Ke Ram now awaits the most interesting entry of Ramayan.

Does the character need any guesses? Well, it's none other than Kumbhkaran!

Gaurav Walia who has played the character of Duryodhana in Dharmakshetra (EPIC Channel), Jodha Akbar (Zee TV) and films like Holiday, starring superstar Akshay Kumar has been roped in to play the pivotal role.

Playing the role of his sister Surphanaka will be Bhagyashree Mote, a renowned actor from the Marathi television fraternity who is now seeking a break into the Hindi GEC space. Sara Khan was earlier finalized to play the role, however, the production house has zeroed down on Bhagyashree.

When we contacted Gaurav, he mentioned, "Yes, in fact, my entry will air tonight. Given my physique, I tend to get offered mythological shows. I am inclined to take up intense characters and comedy roles; so when I was offered Kumbhkaran, I researched to find out that he was the most interesting character of Ramayana. The biggest Ramayan on television was by Ramanand Sagar and now it is by Nikhil Sinha."

We tried contacted Bhagyashree but she remained unavailable for comment.
