Siya Ke Ram fame Snigdha Akolkar to star in Netflix Original, Bahubali: The beginning

Netflix has proven to be the most popular streaming giant today, and now with series like Sacred Games and Ghoul, India is steadily marking its presence among the international arena.

Not long time ago we heard that Netflix has announced a Netflix original series based on the global blockbuster franchise Bahubali. The two season series will be the prequel to the magnum opus. The series is based on Anand Neelkanthan's book The Rise of Sivagami' and will explore the journey of the character Sivagami, originally played by Ramya Krishnan.

Now reportedly, the talented actress Snigdha Akolkar, last seen in Vikram Bhatt's web series Zakhmi, will play an important role in the series.

Snigdha is known for her stints in TV serials like Siya Ke Ram and Shani, and will soon be playing a vital role in the first season of the series.

The grand series will be co-directed by Dev Katta and Praveen Sataru, while Netflix has teamed up with the team of Bahubali including SS Rajamouli and Arka Media works.
