Singer Geeta Mali Dies In a Road Accident, Husband Critically Injured
The accident happened on the Mumbai-Agra highway in Thane district where their car rammed into a container parked alongside the road. The accident took place near Lahe Phata near Shahapur around 3 pm.

Singer Geeta Mali died in a horrific road accident on Thursday, as she was on her way to her hometown, Nashik coming back from United States of America. Her husband, Vijay who was accompanying her is seriously injured and currently hospitalized.
The accident happened on the Mumbai-Agra highway in Thane district where their car rammed into a container parked alongside the road. The accident took place near Lahe Phata near Shahapur around 3 pm.
Both Geeta and Vijay were injured seriously and taken to Shahpur Rural Hospital, but Geeta died during treatment, police said. Geeta had sung songs for a few Marathi films and also cut her own music albums.
