Shrashti Maheshwari of Pandya Store: You have to be healthy with the audience, I can't be fighting with fans

Pandya Store has been doing very well with the audiences and even with the huge ensemble of actors that it boasts of, every character has his/her own place in the show. Shrashti Maheshwari, aka Anita, has always been someone who has been at the centre of troubles that come in for Dhara and Gautam. And while her character isn't outright negative, she is the third person in their relationship.

India Forums got in touch with her and asked her about how does she deal with negative comments and hate that might come her way with the character. To this, she tells us, ''Right now, Anita is not tonally negative, as you can see, she hasn't been shown as a villain yet. So people see her as a cute girl who keeps doing little things here and there.  Otherwise, when there are dream sequences for Gautam and Anita, people tend to hate a lot, as a negative heroine, I haven't received so much hatred just yet, but there are some people fail to look at TV as TV, because it is okay and I don't judge them, because they are audience. And then I feel that I am actually doing good that people are hating me enough but I don't like the comments, I don't block or anything, I just restrict them.''

She added, ''There are 100s of comments, and 1 is manageable, and my following is not just from Pandya Store, there have been people who have followed me from other shows, so they know me, they understand that she is performing and they love the way Anita is performing and they appreciate my negative role. I get 99 messages which make me feel blessed and 1 message out of the whole and that person is writing something, I don't care. As an actor, I have to perform so that people will get an impression that okay Anita is going to do something. You have to be very healthy with the audience, I can't be fighting with every fan of the show, I make sure that I say every time I go live that please treat TV like TV, everyone has a personal life. If you want to harass somebody personally and attack somebody personally, that would be very bad and people genuinely understand so I make sure that my words reach the audiences. If you feel the character is negative, love it, don't start commenting personally otherwise it is very harmful for you also.''

Meanwhile, Pandya Store managed to make it to the top 5 shows last week, and continues to grab attention from the fans. As far as the track is concerned, the show has witnessed a lot of drama in recent times, with a lot more to follow, especially for Shiva and Raavi.
