After the era of fictional shows it's time for reality shows to grab the audience attention with innovative concepts. UTV Bindass is all set to exhibit the most hip and funkiest dance talents in the avenues of our country under the aegis Fanta's Bindass Street Dance, the most vibrant and craziest form of dance amongst the youth.
Apart from the novel concept another striking feature of the show is that it has no judges; instead the flamboyant dancer Shiamak Dawar along with his assistants will mentor these groups and eliminations would happen purely on the basis of public voting.
Shiamak explained his association with the show saying, "I'm glad that the channel thought of such a unique concept and I'm here to groom and polish these raw diamonds without taking away their originality from them. It's a platform to publicize undiscovered talent, so I feel this street culture is very important for us."
When inquired about what kind of a dancer is he looking out for in this show he quipped, "I'm here to find a dancer who is Bindass a person, has magic in his grooves, the one who is gracefully sound if not technically."
As per the format, 8 dance groups have been selected through various mediums like posted videos, formal auditions in school, colleges etc and these groups would compete with each other for 8 consecutive weeks and the final winner would bag an opportunity to be trained at Shiamak Dawar's Instittute for the Performing Arts for a period of 1 year.
The show is scheduled to initiate its telecast from 24th May,2010 at 8pm for 3 days in a week on UTV Bindass.
