"She's perfectly cast in it" - Vikramaditya Motwane responds to trolls on Ananya Panday's casting in his next

Director Vikramaditya Motwane is on a roll once again after his ambitious project, Jubilee, went on to reap big success upon release on Amazon Prime Video. The man has already been busy for a while with his next project, which is said to be a unique film but made headlines almost instantly.

However, more than for the concept itself, the film made headlines owing to the announcement that Motwane has cast actor Ananya Panday in the lead role. This led to a lot of trolling and a few also being apprehensive as to this meeting of people professionally from entirely different worlds.

But Motwane made sure to come forward and address this, also giving his take on the saga. He said, "This is the first time I am saying it publicly, but she has done a fabulous job in the film. She is perfectly cast in it. The film is about an influencer and her boyfriend and what actually happens. It has got AI, it’s futuristic, it is very cool, it’s a great script. It is in the screen life format of how Searching and Missing films were. So within that format, we have had our own little fun."

Coming to Panday, the actor delivered her career-first 100 crore film in the form of Dream Girl 2, where she co-starred Ayushmann Khurrana. Still riding high on its success, Panday has an array of projects lined up apart from the Motwane film, which include Kho Gaye Hum Kahan, Call Me Bae and others.
