As we celebrate International Women's Day all across the globe today, actress Shefali Jariwala shared her insights on what womanhood means to her and how one woman can empower another woman. Talking with India Forums, she gushed, "Indulging in self-love and self-care has such a magical effect on your own mental health as well as on your relationships. When you are happy yourself, you can make others happy. When you are at peace, you can handle the stress of everyday life more easily. So, to be a good wife, mommy, or working professional, first, be a good person to yourself."

She further added, "It is also important to imbibe this in the women around us. My women staff work so hard. Days can be so long at work, and they go back home to cook, take care of their families, and handle domestic responsibilities. They show up every day with a smile on their faces and are ready for another long day at work. This year, I have had a bit of a personal crisis too, and the amazing women around me have shown me immense support and encouragement. They have prayed for me every day. I truly appreciate their love, hard work, and commitment. Giving some a weekend off for TLC and self-care is the least I can do."

Concluding it she said,

I believe women can empower other women. We stand by each other in good times and especially in tough times! That's the true spirit of Women's Day.
