Actor Shashvat Seth, who was last seen in Khatron Ke Khiladi season 4, made a powerful entry to the screen after thirteen years with the popular web show- Aarya 3. Shashvat played Abhimanyu, a grey-shaded character, and has been receiving adulation for his stellar performance as a physcotic villain.

Recently, in a conversation with us, the actor shared his views on playing a negative character in the series and revealed his choice between depth of the character or length of the character.

Many actors believe that negative characters offers more scope to explore than positive ones. Sharing his thoughts on the same, Shashvat, who played a grey-shaded character in Aarya season 3 says,

"To be honest, I don’t live in the world of polarity. So negative positive doesn’t matter to me. When I am offered the character, I find the nicest possibility of bringing it to life. I can’t say that there’s more scope in playing a Villainish character than a positive one, because what really matters is how much energy you insert in a character that doesn’t go unnoticed.”

When asked Shashvat to choose between the depth of the character or length of the character, he replies,

“Well, what really matters to me is the character should be meaty. I do believe that what you are portraying while second are ticking is important. So, instead of looking out for the length of the character, I would go for the depth of character everytime. I remember that Mahershala Ali won an Oscar for his 18 minutes presence in a feature film. So this incident completely suggests that creating a space in the hearts of the audience has nothing to do with screen time.”

For the unversed, the second part of 'Aarya' season three is already streaming on Disney+ Hotstar from February 9, the platform announced on Monday, titled 'Aarya Antim Vaar'.
