On the occasion of India's 74th Independence day, the actor emphasizes on 'Bhagat Singh' being his favorite historical personality, and also one whose life Shantanu looks up to!

Speaking about 'Bhagat Singh' inspiring him in many ways, Shantanu shares, "It was not only history textbooks that enabled me to read about Bhagat Singh's life and what he did for the country, but beyond that too I was always very fascinated to know more about his struggles and fights for our Independence, so I would read up more about him. To express what men like him did for our country back then, will always fall short of words. Bhagat Singh's efforts, passion, and the way he conducted his life truly inspired me! His approach to the whole fight for Independence really brought around a major change, which till today marks him to be truly motivational to many."
