Actress Shalini Kapoor Sagar is excited to play God women in TV serial, 'Purnima'. She was last seen in Bollywood movie 'Shehzada', and on the TV family drama 'Piya Abhimani'.

She said: "I'm happy to play a God woman on screen. I have never played such a role in my acting journey to date. Hence, I'm very excited about it. Though my role will not be a continuity, it's almost a guest appearance. Still, I'm very excited. At times, a small role is very significant in the story. This will be my first cameo ever."

Talking in detail about her role, she continued, "The current track airs the wedding of the protagonist (Sidharth Shivpuri and Chhavi Pandey), and I hold a special importance in Hero's household. For his family, my words are the last decision."

Shalini, best known for featuring in shows like Sirf Tum, Kahaan Hum Kahaan Tum, Swaragini - Jodein Rishton Ke Sur, Qubool Hai, among others, says she doesn't wish to be categorised as an actor.

"I started my career with films, later did TV shows and OTT series. I'm open to playing exciting roles as an actor and don't want to see myself categorised by any particular medium," she concluded
