Shakti Arora POSTPONES wedding with Neha Saxena!

And the reason behind the couple postponing their wedding is unbelievable.

Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in lieu of a better future for the country, announced at the start of this month that Rs.500 and Rs.1000 notes will be withdrawn from the economy. This sudden announcement created havoc is everyone's lives.

And what after that, everyone was found standing outside a bank to exchange these denominations to run their household. To top it all, with November and December being the peak season for weddings, things got out of hand for people even more.

Actor Karan Sharma, who recently wed his longtime girlfriend Tiaara Kar a few days back, had to face a lot of issues as his father had withdrew money to be paid in advance to the wedding organizers just a week before PM Modi's demonetization move.

Bearing the brunt now is Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi actor Shakti Arora, who was all set to wed his longtime girlfriend Neha Saxena on the 15th of November. He had to postpone his wedding indefinitely. The wedding is obviously not happening now, said a report in a leading daily.

Shakti was quoted as saying that he withdrew the necessary amount of cash required to pay the caterers, staff and wedding organisers' advance, but now they are refusing to accept the old currency.

Shakti continued that it will take a long time to officially complete the procedure of exchange the old currency to the new one and sadly added that the wedding was not happening this year for sure.

There is something fishy I can smell.we middle class family,use check.online transaction for paying people.a celebrity saying that he withdraw money from bank to pay is unbelievable.iys ridiculous,utter nonsense.i pray to God to give them some sense and intelligence.

That's Okay, If demonization is the reason be it. You'll get your money soon and then marry her. If there is something else, fans will look out for it xD I'm totally assured that there is some other reason :zo

Its obviously an EXCUSE! definitely they would have some other reason. Might be they are still waiting for Neha's career? :D or as heard, shakti is also being considered for one SP show with mansi

Yes there could be some other reason, but he hasn't mentioned it... He only blamed demonetization as a reason. Hence the reactions like these were should be expected, because as I said, unless money at his home were from wrong sources, there was no logic for post ponning it. :) And if that's not the only reason, though he had not in past supported or opposed the demonization he is indirectly blamming, like many others he came out in opposition

If IT dept. Reads this reason, pls. Do expect inquiry at home.. But then indeed its big thing to put that as reason in open to media

Well they postponed it for smooth functioning and put it sometime ahead in future. So what? Also maybe there were other factors too and they may have ultimately decided that maybe they need more time. It's their decision. Don't go into everything the way media presents it. They are used to sensationalize stuff

It is ridiculous that he apparently hasn't even criticized the law or anything as such. Neither here or in past few days i have read any comments from him but we have automatics experts jumping with their two cents. So much negativity and people ready to jump on others nowadays.

I had a relative's engagement happened this Monday and another relative getting married next week. When I asked how they managed they told caterers, wedding planners all accepted cheques. They belong to lower middle class. Depositing money back in the bank does not take much time which most of us including me and my family has done.
And why does a celebrity needs cash. For such high end weddings wont they accept debit, credit, internet banking transactions.

Well its a coincidence, yesterday dad told me that our Dhobi had nicely managed his daughters wedding even with demonetization by paying all people in cheques and here a "Celebrity" says better post ponned wedding cuz I have gone poor... Dude this was definitely not big deal unless money was from wrong source!!! Using bank statements to deposit back any amount wouldn't take more then day or two... Since you claimed that u had withdrawn money from bank... Alas... If you hadn't and u had hoarded anyways you are doomed now... In that case this year or next two years you aren't getting money...

If dhobi and so called poor low income group can manage... U guys are just perfect example of who you are...
