Shahid surprises everyone with the announcement of his next, 'Deva'; scheduled for Dusshera 2024 release

On the auspicious occasion of Dusshera, it was actor Shahid Kapoor who went on to spring a surprise for all his fans. Kapoor already has several projects in the pipeline, and of them recently witnessed a big postponement. His robot comedy with Kriti Sanon was moved to early 2024 while it was scheduled for an October 2023 release. But for a while now, Kapoor's public appearances have created intrigue.

He has been sporting a new hairstyle and look, which is very similar to that in Haider. This even led to some speculation that Haider 2 is in the works, but it was refuted immediately. But now, the actor himself went on to confirm as to just for what project is the look for.

Taking to social media, Kapoor announced his next, which is titled 'Deva' co-starring Pooja Hegde. Sharing the image, he captioned it, saying, "DEVA in theatres on Dussehra 11th October 2024. @hegdepooja @rosshanandrrews @shariq_patel #SiddharthRoyKapur @zeestudiosofficial @RoyKapurFilms @zeemusiccompany @Zeecinema"

As seen in the image, Kapoor seems to be playing the role of a fierce and rugged cop in a white shirt and khakkee pants, who might be named Deva. But apart from that, the actor looks menacing and formidable with a gun in his hand and oozing machismo and swagger while wearing shades and looking at something. 

As we know, the actor had a great year on OTT with back-to-back mega successes in the form of Farzi and Bloody Daddy.
