Shahid Kapoor questions reporter at Kabir Singh's trailer launch

Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani starrer Kabir Singh's trailer went on air today. The film is a remake of superhit South Indian film, Arjun Reddy. Shahid's character faces many ups and downs in the film and pertaining to that a reporter asked Shahid about heartbreak that his character faces in a relationship. To this a spontaneous Shahid questioned back the reporter, said, "Tera nahi toota kya? Sabka toota hai I am sure" (Didn't you have a heartbreak? I am sure everyone's heart breaks.) 

The Padmaavat actor continued, "Of course everyone’s heart breaks at some point, but the aim is to get over it and move on eventually." 

Shahid, while revealing about his character, said, "It is very different from all the roles I have done before. I know a lot of people think this is a edgy role like that of Tommy Singh (Udta Punjab) but this is a love story and it is about his pain."

Comparing his comedy drama Batti Gul Meter Chalu with Kabir Singh, which is on the darker side of drama, Kapoor expressed, "We have not changed the world of the film, it is dark in parts but overall a very passionate movie. I think we are hypocritical about how we see movies in India as against internationally. We all have issues, we all are different, we all have anger in us. We are not showing everyone is perfect. We are not sugarcoating things."
