Shah Rukh Khan recently delighted his fans by announcing that his upcoming film, "Dunki," was set for a theatrical release around the Christmas period. This raised anticipation for a cinematic clash with Prabhas' much-anticipated "Salaar - Part 1: Ceasefire," scheduled for December this year. However, fresh reports suggest that "Dunki" may undergo a postponement.
Film trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan shared the news on X (formerly known as Twitter), stating that Dunki is likely to get postponed. He wrote, " Buzz: #SalaarVsDunki❌ #ShahRukhKhan's #Dunki likely to get POSTPONED. #Prabhas' #Salaar to get a SOLO record release".
Previously, the makers of "Salaar" had announced its theatrical release on December 22. Speculation around the potential postponement of 'Dunki' continues to grow, with reports suggesting that the film's release date of December 22 may be reevaluated due to delays in post-production. However, an official confirmation from the 'Dunki' production team is eagerly awaited.
Directed by Prashant Neel, "Salaar" also stars Shruti Haasan and Prithviraj Sukumaran in leading roles. Originally scheduled for a September 28 release, the film was postponed due to unforeseen circumstances.
Talking about Dunki, directed by Rajkumar Hirani, "Dunki" also features Taapsee Pannu in the lead role. Fans eagerly await further updates on this exciting clash of two highly anticipated films.
