It’s been a while since Shah Rukh Khan has made an appearance on the big screen, even though he kept sharing updates about his personal and professional life on his official social media handle, which raised the question of when will he announce his next movie.
Ever since his last venture Zero failed to impress the audience and critics, his decision to take a break from movies has led to various reports stating that the superstar is considering different projects for his comeback.
Recently, during a media interaction for the new season of TED Talks India Nayi Baat, when SRK was questioned about his next movie, he said, "Currently, I'm thinking I'm planning and taking my time. I'm working on scripts and inshallah as soon as they are ready, as soon as I'm ready because most of the people I'm working with are busy.
"Hence, inshallah I will myself announce it and until there are rumours, some of them have given me ideas. There was one film I was going to do was Tarzan and Jane. And I was quite excited to perform the role of Tarzan and I think in a month or two I will figure out the time and everything and do it!"
After much contemplation from the media for over a year, about his upcoming Bollywood projects, now we hear that Bollywood’s Badshaah is all set to do a cameo in Ayan Mukerji’s dream project Brahmastra. Produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and Fox Star Studios, the movie features Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy, Dimple Kapadia and Nagarjuna Akkineni in pivotal roles.
A source told Mumbai Mirror, “It’s a guest appearance but Shah Rukh plays a pivotal role in taking Ranbir’s journey forward. He has already allotted his dates for his portions and will shoot before the year-end.”
The source further added that none other than SRK can do the cameo. “Shah Rukh himself likes Ayan’s work and immediately agreed to the cameo. And like everyone else’s in the film, even SRK’s character has the mythological touch,” the source told the leading daily.
Well as reported earlier the King of Romance will be announcing his movie on his birthday tomorrow (2nd November), hence putting all the speculations and rumours to rest.
Talking about the cameo in Brahmastra, if it happens, this will be the second movie after Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and Dear Zindagi, where the star will be collaborating with Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt.
The movie is set to release in Summer 2020.
