Saswata Chatterjee joins Deepika Padukone & Prabhas in Project-K

Saswata Chatterjee has proven himself not only in Bengali cinema but also in Bollywood. His outstanding performance in the recently released Kangana Ranaut film 'Dhaakad' has earned him a lot of praise and now there is some more exciting news for his fans. 

Saswata, widely regarded as one of the best character actors working today, has a key role in director Nag Ashwin's highly anticipated film 'Project K,' starring Deepika Padukone and Prabhas. The seasoned actor has already shot with Deepika for one day in Hyderabad, and Saswata is very impressed with her professionalism. 

Talking to ETimes exclusively, the actor revealed that, He only shot with Deepika in a Hyderabad studio for one day. She fired her first shot around 5 p.m., and by then, He had already fired twelve shots. She noticed me coming in and out and said, with a big smile, 'You have been called again!' 'And there she was, still waiting.' The actor also revealed how, Deepika used to wait with an adorable smile on her face the entire time. This is referred to as professionalism. 

Project K, which is set to be released in 2023, also stars Amitabh Bachchan, and the sci-fi thriller marks Saswata's Telugu debut. Interestingly, this is Deepika's first Telugu film. 

According to the popular actor who played Kangana's mentor in 'Dhaakad,' the actress is as professional as Deepika and always sketches out the entire scene before giving her shot. 

Apart from 'Project K,' Saswata is also in Anurag Kashyap's 'Dobaara,' which co-stars Taapsee Pannu. He will also appear in an upcoming web series alongside Anil Kapoor. 

Meanwhile, Saswata's next Bengali film, 'Tirandaj Shabor,' directed by Arindam Sil, will be released this Friday in Tollywood.
