Sargun Mehta Receives Her First FILMFARE Award!

Getting a Filmfareaward is a matter of immense pride, isn't it? And, when it is the award for the best actress, one would definitely be on cloud 9.

And, only recently did Sargun Mehta's Punjabi film, Jindua went on to become the first Punjabi Blockbuster for the year. Looks like there's no stopping the lady, because she's now won a Filmfare Award for the 'best actress' for her 2016 movie, Love Punjab.

She took to Instagram to announce the same:

We quizzed the actor about her win and she said, "So yes, I won the Filmfare award for the best actress for my film Love Punjab. Getting a Filmfare, is like is one huge achievement and bringing the black lady home is definitely an honor."

"Being an actress, it gives me immense pleasure to get this after having beenin the industry for 8 years and I was ecstatic. I think more than me, Ravi was happy about me getting this. (laughs) When my name was announced, he was jumping and hopping, and he threw his fist in the air multiple times. He settled down once I was up on the stage. It's amazing when someone gives you a pat on your back and tells you you're doing well," an ecstatic Sargun added.
