Sanjay Leela Bhansali is credited with creating some of the world's most well-known films, including Devdas, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, and Bajirao Mastani. As a result of the commercial success of Alia Bhatt's Gangubai Kathiawadi, SLB is prepared to start work on his upcoming project, Heeramandi. The historical drama will premiere on the world's largest streaming service, Netflix, and will serve as Bhansali's OTT debut. SLB, which recently celebrated 25 years in the business, announced the online series last year.
Sonakshi Sinha, Manisha Koirala, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, and Sharmin Segal are among the names that have been circulating as potential cast members for Heeramandi. The creators haven't made any public announcements concerning the cast or the release date as of yet.
Now, though, Sanjay Leela Bhansali is reportedly ready to film a qawwali song with Aditi and Manisha. The director reportedly shot an extravagant dance scene with Sonakshi, Manisha, Aditi, and Richa last month. The folk dance routine was created by Kruti Mahesh, who had earlier choreographed Dholida for Gangubai Kathiawadi.
According to the source, SLB is preparing for a Friday shoot for a qawwali song that will include Aditi and Manisha in the lead roles. At Mumbai's Film City, the shoot will last ten days. Heeramandi would reportedly also star Madhuri Dixit, TV personalities Niyati Fatnani, and Siddharth Gupta.
Bhansali is investing everything into Heeramandi, which is his most ambitious undertaking. In the same spot in Filmcity where Gangubai Kathiawadi's set was previously built, a sizable set for Heeramandi has been constructed. The building is almost finished. Meanwhile, they have already finalized work on the music, which will play a significant role in the story. Knowing SLB's love of music, he has participated personally in every creation.
