Sanjay Dutt REACTS on Vicky Kaushal's performance in his biopic Sanju

While Ranbir Kapoor has received immense appreciation for his performance in 'Sanju', it is Vicky Kaushal who has won the hearts of many with his act in the film. Vicky who portrayed Sanjay Dutt's best friend Kamlesh Kanhaiyalal Kapasi aka Kamli's character in the film has also left Sanju Baba impressed as well.

Now, sources reveal that Sanju Baba was all praises for Vicky after watching Sanju. Speaking about the conversation, Vicky said, "Raju sir held a screening, and after the film got over, called me to say that Sanjay sir wanted to talk to me. We communicated in Punjabi. He said, 'I got really emotional with your performance. You have truly portrayed the meaning of friendship, and your act is accurate when I think of the friends I have had. Puttar, tune dil jeet liya [ Son, you have won my heart.]' Sanjay sir is all heart. He loves to share happiness and love". 

Isn't that too sweet of Sanjay Dutt? It is as Vicky's performance was spot on.

Speaking of Sanju, this film has been performing exceptionally well at the box office. This Rajkumar Hirani directorial biopic has collected Rs 256.48 crores at the box office in just 10 days. Breaking records at the box office, the Sanjay Dutt biopic emerged to be the highest opener of the year and is now all set to enter the coveted 300 crore club.

A few days ago, a success bash was held to ring in the success of this film. While the entire star cast was in attendance, Vicky Kaushal had to give this party a miss as he is shooting outside the country. Talking about it, he stated, "I am missing out on celebrating the success with the entire team in Mumbai. However, I'm overwhelmed by the reaction that the film has received. Being a part of a Rajkumar Hirani film was a dream come true".
