Sanam Johar on Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa: People told me that Rubina would be a tough celeb to handle but she's sweet

After a long break, Colors is back with their celebrity based dance reality show ‘Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa’. The show ruled by the tagline ‘Dancing with the stars’ and the upcoming season of the show is grander with who’s who from the industry being a part of the show.

The promos left the fans curious and they’ve been waiting for the show with bated breath. The show has celebrity contestants like Rubina Dilaik, Nia Sharma, Faisu Shaikh, Paras Kalnawat, Dheeraj Dhoopar, Gashmeer Mahajani, Amruta Khanvilkar, Shilpa Shinde, Zorawar Kalra, Ali Asgar and Niti Taylor. While the line-up of the participants is exciting, it will be interesting to see who lifts up the trophy.

India Forums got in touch with Choreographer and actor Sanam Johar who is set to paired opposite actress Rubina Dilaik and in the chat, Sanam revealed that people told him that Rubina will be a difficult celebrity to manage but she has been sweet to him.

He said, "Rubina is perceived as a strong headed and opinionated individual. She is said to have her way out of things. People had told me that she will be a difficult contestant to handle. Apart from people saying things to me, I have also witnessed her in Bigg Boss and the kind of strong personality that she is. But I must say, she is been very accomodating and sweet to me until now. When I first met her, I just told her to be on time for rehearsals and have a trust on me and she is been doing that until now. She comes on time and gives a smile to me while leaving. She is a graceful dancer and I want her to be confident enough to perform on any stage worldwide with confidence. I am looking forward to the journey of the show more than the destination, however, I wish that she wins the show".

Talking about their competition in the show, Sanam added, "There are contestants like Amruta Khanvilkar and Nia Sharma who have that edge as a dancer. I believe, there's no one like Amruta jee in the showbiz industry who performs such brilliant laavni. Even Gashmeer and Gunjan are nice. I won't call them competitors but they should surely inspire Rubina as dancers".
