Samiksha Jaiswal, who plays the role of Gayatri Vajpayee in Rahul Kumar Tewary and Rolling Tales Production’s Ram Bhavan on Colors TV, is thrilled about the impact of the show’s title and its deeper significance. Sharing her thoughts on the name, she says, "Definitely, the name of the show should resonate with the audience—I mean, it should align with the story as well. They should understand why the show is named the way it is. So far, we’ve been trying to ensure that the show's name is justified, and with time, its significance can grow. The audience will eventually understand why it is Ram Bhavan."

While the title sparked curiosity, Samiksha believes it holds great meaning. "I don’t know if it has anything to do with a school, but it definitely represents the way I have always been. When the name was decided for the show, many suggestions were considered and discussed. But from the moment I heard the story, I was certain that the name of the show should be Ram Bhavan because it encapsulates everything—the house itself is a character, and the name carries so much weight. Just look at the impact it creates; it sets the show apart and gives it a class of its own."

Discussing her role, Samiksha draws parallels between fiction and reality. "I’ve seen time and again—both in daily soaps and real life—a woman plays multiple roles. She wears many hats at the same time. Even if she is independent, she has to be creative, juggle her personal and professional life, and maintain a balance between the house and work. She has to do it all."

For Samiksha, the emotional depth of her performance comes from personal experience. "I almost always avoid using glycerin or external aids to cry. Instead, I use my real-life experiences to tap into my emotions and channel them into my performance. Sometimes, balancing those emotions becomes difficult."

Reflecting on the intensity of her craft, she adds, "When you work on a character for 13-14 hours a day, you tend to forget who you are as a person. In the beginning, it’s definitely difficult to differentiate between yourself and the character. But with time, as you grow as an actor, you learn to separate the two."

Samiksha Jaiswal’s portrayal of Gayatri Vajpayee in Ram Bhavan promises to be a compelling watch, as she navigates the complexities of her character with authenticity and depth.
