It was indeed very shocking where we went on to report about veteran actor Ghanshyam Nayak passed away a couple of days ago.

He was best known for his role of Nattu Kaka of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah passes away. The veteran breathed his last on Sunday (October 3) in Mumbai. He was 77.

He was in Mumbai's Suchak Hospital and left for heavenly abode around 5:30 on that day. The senior actor underwent surgery after eight knots were found in his neck.

He did shoot for a couple of special episodes even after his surgery but was yet to resume work entirely.

And during his days, he would talk about how he wants to keep working till his last breath and die with his makeup on.

Now Samay Shah who plays Gogi on the show talked about it with Spotboye as he said, "He was the eldest one in our team whereas I am the youngest. I always had that respect for him. He was a great actor but more than that he was a great human being. He used to always tell us on sets that he wanted to die in makeup 'while acting'. Main marte dum tak kaam karna chahta hoon. To fulfil his wish, before he was taken to the cremation, makeup was done on his face and that part made me really emotional."

Indeed he will always be remembered.
