Samarthya Gupta to essay male lead opposite Aditi Sharma in Apollena: REPORTS

Aditi Sharma, who essays the character of Apollena in Colors TV's show 'Apollena,' has been garnering a lot of love for her performance in the show. The show revolves around the life of a girl who aspires to be an astronaut, which was her father's dream. While it has been more than a month of the show's release, the male titular character of the show was not announced.

Well, according to media reports, Samarthya Gupta, who essayed the antagonist in Sony TV's Jubilee Talkies has been roped in to essay the male lead of the show opposite Aditi Sharma. Reports suggest that Simba Nagpal and Samarthya were in contention to essay the part, however, the makers of Apollena have finally zeroed down on Samarthya.

On the work front, Samarthya is best known for his stint on MTV Splitsvilla 13. The actor has also been a part of popular shows like Jubilee Talkies, Srimad Ramayana and more.

As for Apollena, the show is produced by Gul Khan, under the banner of Four Lions films. The show also stars popular actor Sandeep Biswas, who essays the character of Aditi Sharma's onscreen father on the show.

Earlier speaking about essaying the character, Aditi said, ''I’m proud to be embodying Apollena because this role stands for hope for countless girls who dare to dream beyond heir means. I feel an immense sense of responsibility, thinking of the impact this show will make.''
