As an audience, we always assume that being a celebrity is just a cakewalk. Being a star comes with numerous advantages as well as drawbacks. When one gets love, a great deal of hatred also begins, often in the form of death threats.

Along with the glamour and glitz it also has risks. Bollywood is a world of fame and affection, but here is the ugly side, where there is fear as well. Here's a list of Bollywood stars who have received death threats.

Salman Khan

No wonder Bollywood's superstar is the most loved actor but few have equally disliked the latter. The actor and his father Salim Khan recently received a death threat letter post Punjabi Singer Siddu Mossewala's death. Also in 1998 a death threat was issued to Salman Khan when he was accused in the Blackbuck case along with his co-stars.

Deepika Padukone

Deepika, one of Bollywood's top actors, received death threats following a backlash from Hindu right-wing and caste groups against her role in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmavat.

Shah Rukh Khan

The Badshah of Bollywood got a threat from gangster Chhota Rajan while shooting for his film 'Happy New Year'. Reportedly, a threatening note was found on the sets which read ‘SRK will be the next target.’ A few days later, SRK received a warning call at his office.

Alia Bhatt, Soni Razdan and Mahesh Bhatt

Alia Bhatt in 2017, Alia and her family received death threats over the phone. The person demanded Rs 50 lakh ransom from the family failing to which he threatened to shoot them down.

Vicky and Katrina

Mumbai Police has registered a case against an unidentified person for allegedly threatening celebrity couple Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif. Based on the complaint, the Santacruz police here have registered an FIR against the unidentified person.

Akshay Kumar

As absurd and ridiculous as it may sound, Akshay Kumar, one of the top stars of Bollywood, had received a death threat from gangster Ravi Pujari just because Akshay had fired his housemaid for personal reasons.

Furthermore, other celebrities such as Farhan Akhar, Sohail Khan, Farhan Azmi, and Ritesh Sidhwani also received death threats from Ravi Pujari and his gang. Well, mostly the police intervention at the correct time has helped maintain the security around our favourite celebs.
