Shashi Sumeet Production's big ticket show on Star Plus 'Diya Aur Baati Hum' will telecast its sequel 'Tu Sooraj, Main Saanjh Piyaji' from April 3.

The show has roped in Mazel Vyas, the cute child artist who was seen in the film, 'Wazir' and TV shows, 'Saath Nibhana Saathiya' (as the young Meera), 'Vicky Aur Vetaal' (season two) and 'Meri Sasu Maa'.

The artist will be seen playing an important character in the show.

While talking to a leading daily Mazel said that she thinks this is the biggest break for her on TV. She loved Diya Aur Baati Hum because it talked about women empowerment and the importance of educating women, which was praiseworthy.

The sequel will do the same.

Mazel relates to her character because she is playing an ambitious and intelligent young student. She also informed that the team shot in Rajasthan and Kerala for over a month which was very exciting.

Being a child artist, she added about her struggle juggling between studying and acting.

Mazel expressed that just a  day before her exams she had to complete her shoot and study while traveling back home. She also mentioned that her school has been very supportive and that she usually studies on her sets when in Mumbai.
